Although I liked Maxwell, I didn't have any of his projects until I purchased his 2009 release BlackSummer Nights and I wanted a compilation of his songs that fit that mold and the UHS compilation does that perfectly. I love the band orchestration in his music and the UHS selections fit that bill.
Since it was my all time favorite, I desperately made it my mission to replace it. Especially since I recently attended his concert in which he performed many of the songs. I was VERY happy and satisfied with my purchase. It was a great deal. I was very excited. My original cassette was stolen. I was tremendously pleased. I will be making other purchases in the future.thank youroxanne
Maxwell's Urban Hang Suite is for the grownups. Smooth music to get your grove on, experience band that hangs on his every verse. I love it, I had to come back and add this to my collection after getting his latest cd Black Summer Nights.
The first I heard it I repeated it for the next 15 minutes. I didn't know about this cd I had heard some of the songs , but when I heard track #9 "Reunion" I was pleasantly surprised. Maxwell is a true talent and we are blessed to have this man share his gift with us. OMG. what an awesome song. I love this cd and i will be buying another one as a back-up , I will always have this music. I highly recommend this cd.
"Get to know you" is the first Maxwell song I ever heard on a radio show. I knew most of the songs on this album already but listening to the whole collection was a new experience. With all the buzz about the new album I decided to listen to some of the earlier stuff. I am glad I did. Very good, a classic and one of my new favourites. Get it.
